i think that the questions will ask questions that will require the reader to go back into the passages and pick out exact details or say our belief on what the author meant. It may also ask what the purpose was.

I think that the AP test's multiple choice questions will not be easy. They will require thinking and there will be multiple answers that sound the same. There may also be answers that are put in there just to throw you off. They will be more complex than the average questions that are found on regular English tests.

I expect the AP test multiple choice questions to be similar to multiple choice questions from the PSSA and PSAT, but more difficult. They will ask me grammatical questions, to analyze passages and poems, and to break down pieces of text. Also, they will test understanding of the different components of DISS TP and other new concepts we will learn throughout the year.

Founder - One of the most unsettling aspects of attending college is that many undergraduates fear that they will FOUNDER in their studies and fail to achieve their career goals.

Activity: Based on previous English and literature standardized tests that I have taken, I am expecting the AP English Language exam to include subjective multiple choice questions that are attached to small pieces of textual evidence that we will need to analyze. History exams included within the AP program are often similar, and this is really the only prior knowledge that I have of how these tests are organized. For example, we will most likely not get asked, "What is the writer's mood?" Instead, we will more often be subjected to questions such as "In what ways does the author's diction and syntax convey their purpose in writing the above text?" The second question involves much more thinking and analysis than the first, and that is the goal that I believe this AP exam is built upon (requiring students to think and analyze what they read).
