The reading that we read last night was talking about the French and Indian War. It mentioned in the reading that the colonies wanted to take over the French in North America. It also mentioned the growth of the colonies and how money and supplies impacted that.

The French and Indian War, also referred to as the Seven Years War, was a conflict between Austria, England, France, Great Britain, Prussia, and Sweden. The skirmishes were fought in Europe, India, and North America, where Sweden, Austria, and France allied the Europeans in fighting against the rising power of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. In the colonies, the French and Indian war became the catalyst that caused open hostilities between the colonists and England, whom was fighting the French in North America. Many colonists asked the King for permission to raise armies and defend themselves, however King George II declined because he was suspicious of the colonists' intentions.

The last war during the Colonial Period was the French and Indian War. Both sides wanted to gain control over the colonies and eventually Great Britain won. Afterwards, Great Britain was in so much debt from the war that they started taxing the colonies. This caused tension between the colonies and Great Britain. When the colonies asked to start a war between them and the French, Great Britain denied there requests. This caused confusion for the colonies because why did Great Britain get to demand goods but also get to say what the colonies did about going to war as well.
A tendency towards excessive candor may make a person bellicose.
