    1. Adulation - A lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, the elderly gentleman retained extreme ADULATION for Tom Brady and his team, regardless of two infamous cheating scandals that began to question the sanctity of the National Football League.

Cacophony - Although they wanted to be supportive, Noah's parents began to lose their patience after hearing nothing but the CACOPHONY of his trumpet for weeks on end.

      Activity:

The main confusion was whether or not we needed to make comments on the essay itself (rather than just giving each of our peers a score). In addition, I think it would have been beneficial to have separate half-sheets of the 9-point rubric for each paper, because that would have allowed us to point out the strengths and weaknesses of each essay more clearly. However, overall, I think the method for scoring generally worked. It was just somewhat confusing to do the peer edit with minimal instruction from the substitute.

I honestly have no idea how much analysis is enough to warrant a high grade when editing the timed writings. It seems like someone may have something good, but at the same time, I can see how the writing would still get a low grade. Also, the I have no clue how the wordiness of a piece reflects the grade of the writing.
