    1. My reflection from the video we watched was that life is short when you take into consideration the things we do on a day to day basis. Although i probably spend time more time sleeping than anyone. I should probably try to live a little while I can, but then I remember I have dreadful AP classes. We should live every day as if it was our last. To not focus too much on the future as it is not always guaranteed. To always be happy.

Activity: Whenever my life is measured in terms of jelly beans, it seems significantly shortly than it sometimes appears. This video amazed me because of all of the days of my life equivalent to the time I will spend on driving, brushing my teeth, performing civic duties, and fulfilling everyday responsibilities. The reality of time really impacted me when I realized just how few of the jelly beans I am able to use on activities that I wish to pursue. Right now, I'm sitting in this classroom, eating away at another one of those jelly beans. In my life, I often dedicate a majority of my time to work, leaving little time left to pursue my own happiness. Therefore, my main takeaway from this video is that I need to enjoy life while it lasts, because we only have one chance to make it count.

After she got a concussion, she had aphasia because she could not think of the right words to use.

This video was very moving. It made me think about how much time i spend doing useless things when i could be spending it doing something i really enjoy. It also made me realize that we shouldn't take any day of living for granted because eventually, our days will run out. So we might as well spend them doing something that we love and enjoying our time.

After my grandfather's horrific stroke, the doctor told us that he was going to be affected by aphasia.

I think this video is a very good visual representation of how short your life actually is. I feel that many people are afraid of dying because they are scared of the unknown and instead of living their life everyday like it's their last, they worry instead. I feel that this video may motivate many people to start living their dream or doing something they have always wanted to do without worrying about what society thinks or being afraid.

  8. Hone - The blademaster worked hard to hone his skills.

Aphasia - After hitting his head the man suffered some aphasia.

In response to the video you presented to us I'm not that shocked. The purpose of the video is to make us feel like we don't have that much time in the world and that we should make the best of it. However the use of the jellybeans while putting into perspective of how much time we have doesn't really put into perspective how long that time is. I'm not even out of high school and it feels like its been a long time, and according to the video I have a lot more. So in reality we shouldn't be worried about how little time we have because we actually have a lot.

  9. Hone- The samurai honed his senses before attacking his opponent.

Aphasia- After the car hit her while she was riding her bike, she began to show signs of aphasia.

Reflection- The video shows us how valuable our time is to do something good for the world. Several factors such as sleep, work, school, and etc leave us with little time. What we do with that time is up to us. We can either spend it doing something we love, helping other, abd making a difference... or we can waste our time doing things like checking facebook, watching tv, sleeping. The message that came through the video was that we shouldnt wase our time and do something useful because every day counts.

This video uses jelly beans to illustrate how many days we have in out lives. Each jelly bean represents one day. They make shapes using the jelly beans to depict different events in our life. They showed how many days that we spend sleeping and eating in our life. As the video progressed, there was less and less jelly beans. At the end there was one jelly bean remaining, and the person asked, what would you do if you had one day left to live? This video is showing us that we shouldn't worry about small things and instead we should just embrace life and all that it has to offer.

  11. This video is interesting, however in a very depressing way. It helps to put into perspective our lives and how they will be spent. It honestly proposes the question of how will we choose to use our proportionally small amount of free time.IT makes me feel as though I have no time to waist and should spend my life doing what I love rather than what is expected.

The man experienced aphasia after his long boxing career.

Looking at life in terms of jelly beans really put my time on earth into perspective. The amount of time we will spend sleeping, watching TV, etc. just seems ridiculous when you compare it to the amount of time that we have to spend for ourselves.

  13. The video makes me think about what is it that I value in life and that I should pursue it because we only have limited amount of days. It makes me think that I should do more activities that'll impact the communities in my area rather than just self serving acts. It makes me see a different perspective of life in a way that I want to make memorial goals, be kind, and try to live peacefully with my neighbors because of the limited time.

    1. Although we as humans have thousands of days at our disposal, the monotonous and repetitious nature of our lives seems to steal from the time that we have. We must work, we must eat, and we must sleep; thus giving us little time to actually live. The time we do have gives us endless possibilities though, and we must use it to experience life because we never know when our last jellybean will be up.

  15. Through years of practice, Steve was able to hone his disguising ability, and pass as almost anyone.
Several weeks later, the guard was still suffering from aphasia, as a result of the punch that Steve dealt him.
The video reiterated something that I have already come to terms with, and that is the shortness of life and the seemingly endless flow of tasks. It shows just how much time is spent doing mostly necessary things, with the exception of watching TV of course, and how much time is taken doing those things. We act as though they are a waste of time, but without these activities, our lives would not only stink, but the world as a whole would be in crisis. In all honesty the video does strike home, but it is a mere fact of life that humans live short mostly tedious lives.

  16. I needed to hone in to what the teacher was saying in order to fully understand.

After the car accident, the man experienced severe aphasia which had a terrible impact on his life.

After watching the video, it made me want to spend my time making sure that I enjoy what I do rather than just "do". Even after that breakdown of time, I still feel that one life is a long time, but it shows that we should live it in a way that utilizes the time well.

The old man struggled in vain to form a sentence from his thoughts due to his aphasia.

The video truly puts into perspective the sheer enormity of time we have to live, and just how much of that time has already been designated to do activities you might not want to do but must. With the time that remains for you personally it doesn't make sense to waste a single day by not making it significant and enjoyable to you and the others around you.

  18. The author began to hone in on the narrators Grandmother, who had began to develop symptoms of aphasia, in which she forgot how to complete her own thoughts using proper grammar.

The video put my life into a bit more perspective and how much time we really don't have for ourselves. I don't think I will change anything I do because of it because as of right now I have nothing to do and I am still in my first 15 years leading up to adulthood. Till then will I truly worry about my Jellybeans.

My grandfather was lucky to show no signs of aphasia after his stroke.

This video motivates me to really enjoy life and to make sure that those around me enjoy it too. It amazes me the amount of time that is dedicated to necessary things such as sleeping, driving or bathing. It leaves us with less time than we thought we would ever have in our lives and shows us that life really is something that should be pleasurable and blissful.

The girl was diagnosed with aphasia after being in the mist of an avalanche

I have seen that video before, and after seeing it for the second time my reaction is similar to the first time i saw it. Life is too short to be anything but happy, that is the main theme i took away from the clip. We will inevitably spend most of the time in our lives doing things that we may not want to. The time we are left with to choose what we do is short, we must make the best of it.

  21. Honed) The athlete was able to hone in on her skills with many hours of practice.

Aphasia) After falling from the ladder the man suffered minor brain damage and developed aphasia, losing his ability to communicate.

Activity) The video makes me realize that all the time spent overthinking and worrying lessens the already limited time we have here on this earth. The time that we take to hold grudges and stay mad at those who really deserve our love is a waste of precious time. It also makes me think that in this aspect of our lives we are all the same, we have a limited amount of time to do things we love, whether others approve or not. The saying leave work at work, or school at school comes to mind, the baggage that we carry around deducts from our time to be happy.

  22. Coach Ebaugh hones in on our skills during practice so that we will feel more confident using them during games.

She had serious aphasia after the car accident, yet she was at peace with herself.

The jellybean video was very eye-opening in my opinion. It really put in to perspective the amount of time we spend throughout our lives on everyday things, such as bathing, commuting, or preparing meals. The totals presented kind of startled me, because in everyday life I never really take in to account how much time it takes me to do certain things that I find necessary. It also made me think about the times during the day that I waste on social media, worrying about what others think, and trying to figure out who I am supposed to be or where I am supposed to go. I really enjoyed the last part of the video where it talks about the time the average person has left after taking in to account all of the time need to basic activities and everyday habits. The speaker posed the question, "what will you do with the time you have left?" When he said that, I got really excited because I began to think of all the adventures I will have and people I will meet as my future begins to unfold in the coming years. Most of all, this video really reiterated that fact that none of us can waste time on tedious, meaningless things because every single day counts.

The stroke affected the left side of her brain, leading to aphasia thereafter.

The use of jellybeans in proportion to the days of our life helped me to gain a new perspective of how long life is, but what a small window of it will be spent doing the things we love. In a world governed by responsibility, this will take up a vast majority of our days on earth, leaving the rest up to us which we cannot afford to waste. While not exactly uplifting, this video inspires and motivates us to make the most of our lives by spending it doing the things that matter.

Hone-The hawk honed in on his prey before swooping down and catching it.
Watching this video portraying our lives in Jelly beans helped put perspective on the amount of time we truly have. I believe that because we are young we take for granted the amount of time we have. This video helps us focus on the importance of our individualism. It helps us hone in on the bigger picture.

  26. -It's essential to success to spend time honing our skills, however we must not spend too much time working and focusing on them, otherwise in 30 years we'll be laying in a hospital bed halfway through our 3rd and final stroke as our resentful family members struggle to break through our aphasia to make us understand that they're saying the things that they think they should probably say to us as we die.

-The video demonstrates that our time to be alive is finite and gives us an idea of how we're using it, how much of it we have, and provides the viewer with the first step in the train of thought as to what they are going to do in their time and why. The same message as every other tacky inspirational something or other, just presented in a way that forces the viewer to acknowledge it for what it is and not what they can interpret it to be.

  27. Hone - Anna spends most of her time at practice to hone her tennis techniques.
Aphasia - They realized their brother still suffered from aphasia when he could not recall his hospital visit.
Activity - I believe this video expressed a very unique and valuable concept. It is important for us to cherish each and every day as if it were our last. There are so many simple moments, like going swimming with friends, that we take advantage of. Time is lost and wasted when we forget to appreciate memories that might seem insignificant, but in the end they may become important memories. This video reminded me to always think before I act, and to spend my time wisely.

  28. Hone: In order to make the orchestral piece sound more appealing, the young musician honed the parts she was having trouble on until they sounded perfect.

Aphasia: Due to the accident the old man was in, he developed Aphasia and he wasn't able to communicate with his family too well.

Activity: At the beginning of this video I was surprised we had that many days of life but as he started to take them away, they didn't seem as much anymore. I didn't realize that things we do everyday take up so much of our life. IT made me think about how I should really be spending my time. It makes staying at home watching the tv/netflix seem like a waste of time. Because in reality watching tv does not make me as happy as going out with my family and friends and having an amazing time. The video was depressing but an eye-opener, I liked it.

Aphasia was a result from the players head injury in last nights game.

I have actually already watched this video on Facebook, its very popular on all social medias. The video made me feel sad in a way because of the way life was described to be so short. The way the narrator was talking also had a sad tone in his voice. Towards the ending of the video when he said about how we waste our time worrying to much and how we should be spending that time loving life or doing something we love. He then brought one bean out of the pile and stated "what would you do if you only had one day left?" this led me to think what would i actually do. Overall the video really made you think about memories all through out your life, in a way i enjoyed it.

Many car crash victims suffer from aphasia, which reinforces how important it is to be alert and careful behind the wheel.

I have seen this video before and thought it was a unique way to inspire people to live life to the fullest. The monotonous voice of the narrator set a serious tone. As the video progressed and jelly beans were being subtracted due to sleeping, working, and other aspects of living, I came to realize that maybe we do not have as much time as we hope for. More people need to choose happiness and make time to do things they enjoy to get the most out of life.
